Wednesday off….
Just got finished mowing the lawn. I really am starting to enjoy lawnwork. Sometimes it’s a pain, but for the most part I enjoy it, although it was a bit hot out there this afternoon. Plus, I always feel some sense of accomplishment when I’m done because it just looks good.
The other night I was as depressed as I have been in a long time. Jenni and I talked and that helped immensely. I am so fortunate to have such a wonderful and loving wife and partner. My life is good. Sometimes it seems so hard, though. Some days I get really tired of working and trudging through whatever I have to do that day. I know it doesn’t have to be that way and that is what makes it even tougher, because I know it’s not necessary to fight and struggle. And then I surrender and do what I have to do to get through the day and the next day it’s better.
It sure helps to have someone to listen and hug you when you need it, too.

I meant what I said that night too. Everyone has bumps in the roads and even a few detours every now and then, but we can handle them as long as we support and love each other. If not, then I’ll hafta bitch-slap ya around some until you straighten up.
