Vacation!!!
Woohoo!!!! First day of vacation. I’m going to try to get an even split between getting some things done and taking it easy. I have to spend a lot of time off my feet, because it seems I’ve developed bone spurs of some sort. 
I’m supposed to be eternally healthy, dammit! 
I’ll have to find the link that my wife found so I can read more about it. Just freakin’ lovely….. I guess that means I am supposed to find another job where I don’t kill my feet all day long. How many signs do I need?
I’ve been unusually upset by the death of Darryl Kile. I usually don’t get too upset when I hear of people dying. I sometimes think that maybe I’m a bit cold in that respect. When it’s someone’s time to go, it’s time to go….. But DK’s death really got to me. He’s younger than me and in great shape and was an exceptionally good man. And he died of some sort of heart condition. I feel terrible for his wife and children, and also for his teammates, past and present. So sad.

Darryl Kile was a great man. The last baseball game I went to, he was one of the few Cards who was really wonderful to the fans…making a point of to acknowledge as many as he could who were loyal enough to show up really early to the game.
He died from thickening of his arteries…nothing anybody could have forseen in someone so young…it really gives you pause and makes you think.
