What’s new?

It’s been a busy long weekend for me so far. Fortunately, I have one day off left. Too bad I’ll have to spend most of it cleaning…..blechhh!!

Saturday, we had our Prepared Childbirth Class. I don’t think I feel too awfully prepared for giving birth. I’m pretty sure my wife feels the same way. ;-) But it was fun and informative. Oh, yeah, and some woman who was due just before Jenni had her water break in the bathroom during break, so she’s a mommy now. Jenni looked a little freaked out by it. I could see the wheels turning….”That could happen to me at any time…..” My wife is amazing, though, so we’ll be just fine.

Saturday night we went out for dinner for my brother’s birthday and that was fun. Good food, too! The last two days have been spent buying and hanging drapes and blinds for the nursery and painting a little toy chest for our little Jakob. I got a little cleaning done today, but I’ve also wasted too much time playing baseball.

Yes, that’s right, it’s baseball time again. My last two selfish purchases have been High Heat Baseball 2004 and Out of the Park 5. The jury is still out on the High Heat game. They pretty much turned it into a PS2 type console game, and for baseball stat freaks like myself, that kind of sucks. But, the gameplay is really good once you get past the shitty interface. And, I figured I’d get my stat-based baseball fix from OOTP5.
