Blechhh!
I hate being sick. I guess I don’t get sick very much, so I shouldn’t complain, but it sucks. I think everyone I know has had the flu in the last two weeks. Well, except for Jakob!! He’s managed to get by without getting sick, yet. Now all he has to avoid is his parents letting him fall all over the place….hehe.
That’s right. We’re officially bad parents now. For instance, today, I left the room for a few seconds and forgot to put the gate up. Well, guess who tumbled down the stairs? I felt so horrible and was scared to death. Fortunately, from the sound he pretty much crawled down half the stairs, so he only really tumbled down the last three or four. I felt like a complete dumbass after the initial scare. How could I be so stupid?
you’re not stupid. you made a mistake. and little Jake probably learned a lesson in the process. I bet he won’t be going near those stairs again.

i soooooooo know that ‘i’m stupid’ feeling as regards my first child. somehow, she survived and her brother had less neurotic parents.
of course, the real question here, Dan, is: Will Jakob now be ’stupid?’ never know about those falls. i’ve landed on my head a time or two, and…well…ya know.
