Wow…what a game!!

The Twins win again!! :bananadance: This is Nick Punto scoring the winning run in the tenth inning tonight.

Okay, I admit it. I am totally obsessed with Twins baseball right now. I love this team. I really do. They lost the best pitcher and one of the best centerfielders in baseball, when Torii Hunter and Johan Santana left. They had basically three really good position players left and a great closer. Five starters under 26 years old and four guys who are basically rookies who’ve never started consistently in the majors. They have a guy named Punto who they keep trying to replace. Most people picked them to finish last this year in the Central, so how can they be in first place?

They PLAY baseball. I mean, they play the game. They actually catch the ball. They know how to run the bases. They throw strikes and their defense backs up the pitchers. They don’t hit many home runs, which is very sexy, but not necessary to PLAY baseball. Oh, and they have heart! I mean, they really play with heart. To watch those kids go out there the last three nights and sweep the White Sox just gave me chills. Gomez and Span pulled a rookie play and ran into each other, basically giving the Sox five runs. What did they do after that? Gomez tripled twice and singled once and scored three runs. Span doubled and tripled and drove in three runs. And these guys are rookies! Oh, and Alexi Casilla, another rookie, singled in the winning run, which was scored by that Punto guy. Almost lost in the shuffle was Joe Mauer going 3-5. The bullpen pitched six shutout innings, with Joe Nathan finishing the last two.

I’m emotionally exhausted…..and I was DJing at the same time…lol :superman: I am Superman. :pimp:

  1. Hey hey Superman :superman:

You go ahead and celebrate. I am so glad the Twins won. Even though I have 2 reasons for being happy over this win ~~ First, it makes a friend happy and second, they beat the socks off the ChiSox. :bananadance:

  2. Punto is too cute :) I’d cheer for him anytime! You did a great job with the multitasking by the way… djing, getting requests, running 2 avitars and cheering on your team. Not bad there Omaha guy!

  3. And in a fit of stupidity that has become his trademark, White Sox TV announcer Ken Harrelson called on MLB to force the Royals to pitch Zack Greinke against the Twins this weekend, even though he’s showing severe fatigue signals and they don’t want to risk injuring one of their young stars. Yeah sure, Ken….the Royals should be more concerned with your teams playoff hopes, than the welfare of their own players. By the way, if your team had won a game this week, you wouldn’t have to rely on insane pipe dreams to get your team in the playoffs. Idiots….
